Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a tried and tested system of traditional medicine which has been used in China and other eastern countries for thousands of years to restore, promote and maintain good health. Modern research validating the efficacy of Acupuncture are being conducted through out the world and it has moved prominently into mainstream healthcare. In conjunction with Acupuncture, the practitioner may use other techniques such as cupping, moxabustion, electro-acupuncture, laser stimulation and massage. They may also suggest diet and lifestyle changes.

Traditional Acupuncture takes a holistic approach to health and regards illness as a sign that the body systems are out of balance. The exact pattern and degree of imbalance is unique to each individual. Our skill lies in identifying the precise nature of the underlying disharmony and administering the specific treatment that will correct it. Acupuncture may also be used as a preventative measure to strengthen the constitution and promote general well being.

An increasing weight of evidence from Western scientific research is demonstrating the effectiveness of acupuncture and Chinese Herbs for treating a wide variety of conditions. From a biomedical viewpoint, acupuncture stimulates the nervous system, influencing the production of many of the body’s communication substances -hormones and neurotransmitters. The resulting biochemical changes activate the body’s self regulating homeostatic systems, stimulating its natural healing abilities and promoting physical and emotional well-being.

Acupuncture successfully puts the body back in balance by restoring the healthy flow of chi within the meridians and organ systems.

With the aid of Acupuncture, Chinese herbology and the integration of the various subtle energy systems of medicine, my goal is to help awaken the inherent wisdom that lies at the core of each individual.

Laser therapy procedure.

Low-level Laser Therapy (LLLT) is non-invasive and painless and is used to stimulate acupuncture points or the tissue in general. It is approved by the FDA and is used for the treatment of a variety of conditions, including promotion of wound healing, reduction of edema and the relief of pain of various etiologies.

Worldwide studies have shown safe and proven relief for pain issues ranging from Arthritis to Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.

Moxabustion is a method where moxa, which is a plant (Mugwort leaf, Artemesiae argi Folium) is burnt on or above the acupuncture points to stimulate the circulation of Qi and Blood in the meridians.

Moxa has a synergistic effect with Acupuncture and is most helpful when treating certain gynecological disorders, muscular pain, arthritis, rheumatic pain, diarrhea, abdominal pain, asthma, and so forth.

Cupping procedure.

Cupping is a method that is used to bring stagnation of Qi and blood to the surface of the body to be dispersed. The practitioner uses bamboo or glass cups and creates a partial vacuum in the cups, usually by means of heat, which are applied to the skin, drawing up the underlying skin.

Cupping is highly effective in the treatment of common cold, back pain, headache, indigestion, arthritic pain, hypertension and more.

Chinese Herbology

Chinese Herbology is based on ancient principles that were developed over 2000 years ago and are now being validated by scientific research. In order to prescribe the herbal formula accurately, the patient needs a complete diagnosis by a Licensed Acupuncturist who is also trained in Chinese herbology.

When the appropriate formula is taken at the prescribed dosage the clinical results are remarkable. Chinese Herbology can be used effectively as a “stand alone” therapy. However, in today’s practice of Chinese Medicine, it is a necessary adjunct to treatment as it is not feasible to treat with Acupuncture as frequently as necessary for the best possible results.

The plant substances are generally concentrated 5:1 and combined into formulas that produce the desired therapeutic result without adverse side effects. The raw materials are mostly plant based and rarely some animal substances may be used. Careful testing is conducted to insure the purity of the ingredients used. They are mostly dispensed in tablet form that are easily absorbed and convenient for long term use.

Perelandra Essences

The Perelandra Essences are oral solutions that are taken to balance, stabilize and repair the body’s electric circuits in times of illness, injury and stress. Each electrical essence pattern works in two ways:

(1) They address weakened or damaged circuits in targeted areas of the body that have taken a hit by illness or injury.

(2) They also provide the needed balancing for specific mechanical functions and properties that are contained in and are part of biological circuits no matter where the circuits are located in the body.

They allow the body’s healing process to become fully functional. Whether for illness or injury, the electrical patterns from the correct Perelandra Essence, when administered orally, immediately shift to the electrical system and are drawn to and fuse with the damaged circuit, thus providing the balancing elements for their repair. Like Healing Like.

The scientific research conducted by Dr. Nordentrom in the last 50 plus years has validated the the presence of biologically closed electrical circuits in the human body. Machelle Small Wright, the developer of Perelandra essences, explains further:

“the human electric system is a vast network of circuits that runs through and around the body. Every element, every organ, every system in the human body has its electrical circuits. Furthermore, every level of being (physical, emotional, mental and soul) has its own electrical circuits, making it the most extensive and complex system in the human body. The underlying foundation for the body’s healing process is activated and driven by the electrical system.”
